I previously wrote a blog post about this. Throughout my life, I’ve had certain songs that I’ve been drawn to so much in a recurring manner that they’ve eventually become “theme songs” for that parts of my life. Here’s a collection of some of these songs, just for brevity and memory.

  • Good Times by All Time Low representing my Sec 4 year — the song feels bittersweet because it’s so enjoyable to listen to (its melody was what drew me in at first), but the lyrics paint a picture of a hurtful goodbye. Something about the line “I’ll hate the goodbye, but I won’t forget the good times” hit me well at that time, y’know?
  • U Deserve by Wasia Project representing the first few weeks of Year 1 polytechnic — the song was an earworm for me and the balladic melody was so calming to listen to. I vividly remember walking down the dim hallways of the digital arts floor at school to this song, finding the very first class that started off my polytechnic years.
