In the cadence of today’s world, it can get easy to feel swept up by the pace at which everything’s going. You can sometimes feel like your life is passing you by because you’re so occupied with trying to consume as much as you can — with the bandwidth, capability, and storage that you aren’t necessarily prepared to handle.

  • I guess this is where I came across the saying that exerts that, in a world of consumption, you should try to create. I’m still grappling personally with what exactly I should create, and more importantly through what medium.
  • I’m inspired to see some youth in Singapore online start this journey of posting themselves online, but I feel like they represent a certain flavour of people where doing so is part of their brand — the side goal is usually to advance a side hustle they’re working on, leveraging upon the reputation and following they’ve built in posting their personal selves online as a springboard.
    • I don’t oppose this trend, but I feel like it’s a little bit disingenuous as well; but maybe it’s because I’m viewing things from different angles? Where I’m coming in from the perspective of living, feeling alive, they could be incorporating that with a greater hint of putting themselves out there.
    • Rebutta: you could say that I’m generalising too much and putting many people who each have their own perspectives and goals into the same basket when they don’t deserve to?
  • This ties in to my personal experience with memory, where I sometimes struggle to relieve memories that remind me of who I am.
