I’m currently gearing up for the dSAT, and this space aims to capture all the knowledge I need to catch up. It’s been a while since I did any kind of maths, so I’ll need to work towards remembering even basic concepts…

I hope to document how I’ve been preparing for it over time. Time is a bit tight, especially with NS as a hinderance, but I’ll try my best!

Did my first official practice test using Bluebook! For the most part, I wanted to introduce myself to the UI of Bluebook and to check if all’s working well on my laptop. It’s pretty intriguing that they allow you to use your own device for the dSAT instead of preparing a standardised test device.

Score: 1420 (740 R+W, 680 Math)

  • Fatigue is real, and panic kicked in nearing the end of the second Math portion. I’m quite sure I randomly selected the last 2-3 questions because I had less than 5 min remaining to complete the section…
  • 1420 is surprisingly not bad? I thought I’d fare worse than I thought, but I think my R+W pulled up the score significantly
  • I need to work more on shaking off that stunned feeling when coming across a hard Math question (maths anxiety is real)
  • I didn’t fully take the time to check my work and the 10 minute interval break here, since I just wanted a first time experience of using the Bluebook app and the questions
